The 2024 European Women`s basketball league`s first stage will take place on November 25-27 at the Hala Ostravská univerzita in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

SBŠ Ostrava vs Polonia Warszawa

Series history: Polonia has a 1-0 advantage, thanks to a 76-60 win on December 10, 2022.

Key matchup: Ostrava has two solid frontcourt players.

India Lee Pagan (Stony Brook 2022) averages 16.0 points and 11.3 rebounds in six games.


Hannah Ariel Little (Oakland 2017) has 10.3 points and 9.9 rebounds.

Polonia playmaker Anna Pawlowska has 15.4 points and 6.0 assists.

National championships: SBŠ Ostrava had a tough schedule in October, as it faced three EuroCup Women teams – Levharti Chomutov, KP Brno and Žabiny Brno.

First game after a national team break was no exception – Ostrava played at USK Praha on November 17.

Iveta Rašková, Kamil Fajta and SBŠ Ostrava entered the win column two days later with a 84-80 home success against Kara Trutnov.


Polonia Warszawa opened the season on the road, defeating Energa Polski Cukier Torun, 80-78, on October 8.

The next three games were played against EuroLeague Women – Polkowice at home – and EuroCup Women teams like Arka Gdynia and Zaglebie Sosnowiec.


Polonia Warszawa played its second home game on November 19, suffering a 92-100 defeat at the hands of Basket 25 Bydgoszcz.

Polonia Warszawa vs Frankivsk Prykarpattya


Series history: Polonia leads the series, 2-0. The Poles won the first encounter, 73-70, on January 14, 2023, at Chomutov, and prevailed again in the bronze medal match, 100-53, on March 5.

Key matchup: Polonia playmaker Anna Pawlowska has 15.4 points and 6.0 assists.
