Keys magic lifts Polonia Warszawa over tenacious Levharti Chomutov

Andreona Keys scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 100-91 win for SKK Polonia Warszawa on Friday, October 28, at the Centrum Sportu Wilanow in Warsaw, Poland. Maciej Gordon`s team outscored splendid Levharti Chomutov 24-14 during the final 10 minutes.

Andreona Keys scored 12 of her 19 points in the last frame.


Purdue standout made the shots from every position and scored half of Polonia`s points during the fourth quarter.


Andjelina Radič also had a huge 10 minutes, as she contributed with five points, two assists and two steals.


Serbian center finished the game with a team high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field, including a brilliant 5-of-5 inside the three point line.


Radič added six rebounds, four assists and two steals for a game high efficiency rating of 27.


Angeliki Vintsilaiou was a constant threat under the basket and forced a game high eight fouls.

Greek international scored 19 points, while seven of those came from the free throw line.

Anna Pawlowska and Martyna Leszczynska also finished in double figures, scoring 15 and 11 points.

Last but not least – Jessica Jackson (Arkansas 2017) had seven points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots.



Valentyna Kadlecova led all scorers with 27 points.


Chomutov guard – and FIBA U20 European Championship First Team member – connected 6-of-11 three pointers for a team high efficiency rating of 22.


Najai Wynn-Pollard (Delaware State 2019) had 18 points, seven rebounds and seven forced fouls.

Monika Satoranska (14), Anastasia Kovtun (12) and Monika Fučikova (12) hit the double digits too.



Chomutov captain Katerina Bartonova dished out a game high 11 assists.

She contributed with three steals as well.


Kadlecova and Radič were recognized as the players of the game.




Key stats

Both teams showed amazing shooting skills.

Polonia connected 16-of-35 field goals in the first half (45%), while Levharti players made 18-of-37 attempts (48%).


Shooting spree continued well into the second half as the competitors combined for fantastic 153 points after 30 minutes of play.


Monika Fučikova regained a 79-80 lead for the Czech team.


SKK Polonia replied with a 8-0 run capped by a three pointer from Andreona Keys with five minutes to go 87-80.


Levharti run into the foul trouble and Polonia capitalized on this opportunity to extend the lead up to nine points 91-82.


Chomutov refused to go down without a fight.

Valentyna Kadlecova and Monika Satoranska scored back-to-back three pointers in a span of 34 seconds to cut the deficit to three points 91-88.


Keys powered her way under the basket and forced one more foul to score four consecutive points for the home team 95-88.

Levharti Chomutov fought until the end but Polonia Warszawa was too good.
